How to Restore XP Backup Files in Windows 7?

As we already know that NTBackup was removed since Vista but we can easily use NTBackup.exe utility on Vista and Windows 7. If you are going to install it on Vista and Windows 7 then it takes a bit more work. Firstly, you have to install NTBackup.exe utility on Windows 7 then you can use it to restore XP backup files in Windows 7.

Steps to Install NTBackup.exe Utility on Windows 7

Step1: First of all, you have to run Windows XP installation Disc on your system.
Step2: The, press right click on ‘Drive’ icon to explore the data
Step3: After that, you must navigate the location – CD drive:\VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP
Step4: And then, open NTBackup.msi file
Step5: Finally, follow the given instructions and install Ntbackup.msi on you system.

After doing that, you will be able to restore XP backup files on Windows 7.
